# Follow a sentence back to its source.

These references support the scientific and regulatory statements linked across Perform Peptide. Each entry tells you what kind of question the source can answer, so a paper about a rat tendon never quietly becomes a finding about your body.

## Read the study that answers the question

A source has a setting: cells in a dish, an animal with a particular injury, healthy volunteers or people with a diagnosed condition. Its findings keep that setting. We list the sources used on the site so you can inspect those boundaries for yourself.

The research links below are the exact addresses used in the page text. The descriptions are reading notes, not endorsements of an intervention. Clinical trials, regulatory documents and physiology experiments answer different kinds of questions.

- ### Rat Achilles-tendon experiment

Animal tendon and cell work. The controlled injury is not evidence of a recovery effect in people.

- ### FDA review of BPC-157

Identity, limited human reports, animal evidence and safety gaps in the FDA assessment.

- ### FDA review of the TB-500 fragment

Separates the fragment from full-length thymosin beta-4 and reviews the absence of published human TB-500 studies.

- ### CJC-1295 DAC study in healthy adults

Small human hormone study of the longer-acting form. It does not test the fixed blend for sleep or recovery.

- ### FDA review of CJC-1295 forms

Chemical identity, ingredient eligibility, human studies and adverse-event concerns.

- ### FDA review of ipamorelin

Human evidence, route-specific safety gaps and the ingredient restrictions that a product listing cannot resolve.

- ### Ipamorelin trial after bowel surgery

A human trial in a surgical setting. The main measure did not show a clear difference; it was not a recovery or sleep trial.

- ### FDA determination on former sermorelin products

Historical approvals and the later finding about withdrawal from sale. It is not an approval of current preparations.

- ### Study of a modified hormone-releasing peptide

A related substance studied in older adults, with no change in sleep quality. Identity differs from sermorelin itself.

- ### Tesamorelin prescribing information

The approved indication, limits of use, contraindications and monitoring cautions for the approved product.

- ### Tesamorelin trial in adults with HIV

Condition-specific human research on deep abdominal fat, not recovery in healthy performers.

- ### FDA product and biologic record

The approved product record and its biologic status. It does not establish a route for pharmacy copies.

Page current as of April 22, 2026. Both tables matter for ipamorelin acetate; no individual withdrawal dates are supplied.

How pharmacy preparations differ from approved medicines and which responsibilities remain with prescribers and compounders.

Human physiology research on timing and deep sleep. A natural association does not establish a peptide treatment benefit.

- ### Sleep-dependent hormone circuitry in mice

Animal circuit research on the sleep-linked hormone signal, without a human recovery outcome.

## Regulatory records have a date

The FDA safety table used here is current as of April 22, 2026. That is the page’s date, not a published move date for an individual substance. FDA has not cleared or approved an ingredient simply because its nomination was withdrawn. Ipamorelin acetate appears in the withdrawn table and in Category 2, the group with significant safety concerns. Its Category 2 listing falls under section 503B’s interim policy for registered compounding facilities.

Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. The FDA compounding pages explain that distinction; the compound-specific reviews and product record explain additional restrictions. A seller listing cannot stand in for those records.

## Personal accounts have a different role

The passages labelled anecdotal, not clinical evidence summarize the kinds of reports that circulate around a compound. They are not controlled studies, a measured rate of side effects or endorsements by this guide. They carry no dosing instructions and cannot establish what caused a change.

For a reading route, begin with the [comparison](/compare/) or the [sleep and recovery page](/recovery-and-sleep/). For an individual medical decision, a provider needs the context that a general page cannot supply.

## A source can inform the discussion without settling the decision.

Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved. This guide gives no individual medical advice.

Promise Peptides holds LegitScript certification. That certification is separate from FDA approval and does not change a medicine’s regulatory status.
